Chris Gilbert Joins GCP to Lead Firm’s Expansion in the Texas Industrial Market
BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Sept. 15, 2026 — Growth Capital Partners (GCP), a private real estate investment and operating firm, today announced the opening of a new office in Dallas, extending the firm’s reach into one of the country’s largest and fastest-growing industrial markets. Chris Gilbert has joined GCP as Managing Director, Central Region, to lead the firm’s investment activity from the new office. He will be working closely with Principal and Co-Founder Gardner Lee and Partner, Investments, Michael Flynn.
The Dallas office marks a significant step in GCP’s continued expansion across the Sun Belt’s high-growth industrial corridors. The region’s scale, population growth, and logistics infrastructure make it a natural extension of GCP’s footprint, complementing the firm’s existing presence across the Southeast and strengthening its ability to source, execute, and manage industrial investments throughout Texas and the Central U.S.
In his new role, Mr. Gilbert will oversee GCP’s acquisition, development, leasing, equity sourcing, and disposition activities across Texas and the Central U.S. He will play a pivotal role throughout the full investment lifecycle, including deal sourcing, underwriting, structuring, negotiation, and execution of both acquisition and development opportunities for GCP’s funds and separate accounts.
Before joining GCP, Mr. Gilbert served as Director for the Dallas-Fort Worth market at Lovett Industrial, where he sourced and evaluated acquisition and development opportunities and managed due diligence, project capitalization, leasing, and asset dispositions within the DFW market.
Prior to Lovett Industrial, Mr. Gilbert worked at Fortress Investment Group, where he oversaw a portfolio of 2.6 million square feet of commercial real estate across the country. Before Fortress, Mr. Gilbert underwrote and transacted over $400 million in real estate assets as a capital markets professional.
Mr. Gilbert earned his BBA from Texas Tech University and his MBA from Southern Methodist University.
